Hi, I’m Shelly, your photographer
I grew up on a farm in South Africa with a dream of becoming a vet.
From working with sheepdogs and helping deliver puppies, to dosing sheep and riding our naughty Welsh Pony bareback, I developed a deep, instinctive understanding of animals — how they behave, how they communicate, and how to earn their trust.
That connection has stayed with me ever since and it quietly shapes everything I do behind the camera.
Over the past 15 years, I’ve built businesses in Bowral through photography — including a real estate media company I started from scratch and sold in 2023.
In 2022, while staying with friends, I photographed their two dogs, Mae and Georgia, as a simple thank-you.
In 2025, Georgia sadly passed away unexpectedly.
Those photographs became something far greater than I ever intended — a deeply meaningful part of how my friends remember her.
That experience shifted something for me.
It clarified what this work is really about.

We meet in the studio for a relaxed, unhurried session designed entirely around your pet.
There’s no pressure for perfect behaviour — we use patience, play, and trust to capture natural, character-filled portraits.

After your session, you’ll view your images straight away and choose your favourites on the spot.
You’ll be guided through the selection process so you can confidently choose the images you truly love for artwork, albums, or digital collections.
